All regular volunteers in Scouting must complete the Growing Roots learning:
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (renewable every 5 years)
Safety e-learning (renewable every 3 years)
Safeguarding e-learning (renewable every 3 years)

All child-facing volunteers must also complete:
First Response (renewable every 3 years)
Delivering a Great Programme e-learning
Trustees must also complete:
Being a Trustee in Scouts e-learning

Once you've completed your Growing Roots learning, you can continue to develop further skills as part of the Branching Out learning. You can work towards your Wood Badge, the internationally recognised symbol of Scout Leader proficiency
